Hi it's Gary Palmer - (Possum) here,

I hope all is well and hope you'll be able to help with a stupid Australian Government LAW which does now not allow dogs on motorcycles and whether you agree or not this has knocked a well travelled dog 'Blue Heeler' named Bundy from his charity rides...

I ask you to please sign the petition at this link to let our Minister For Roads Hon. M Daly a government desk jockey know that 'Bundy' should be allowed to ride as he has more experience (some 80,000 klm's a year) than what he has:

Let-Tex-Bundy-Ride

You can also vote for Bundy at: votemypet.com

Regards,

Gary Palmer -(Possum) on Bundy's behalf...

A lot of you would know of Tex who is a member and Bundy the cattle dog. For those that dont, here is a speel.

Tex O’Grady is a well known motorcycling identity, inducted the National Motorcycling Hall Of Fame, multiple national road racing title holder and endurance rider, holder of the Around Australia Endurance Record set in 1978 of which he completed 15,000 kms on his Honda 750 in 8 days, 23 hours and 57 minutes with only 14 hours sleep. Members of the Farriders and IronButt Association of America and Bundy is the first dog in the world to join either of these two groups for long distance enduro road riding.

He is better known these days for his charity work with a twist, Tex rides with his beloved Blue Heeler Bundy as his companion and best mate.

Bundy is a 3 year old Stumpy Tail Blue Cattle Dog and is the second to full the shoes of a much beloved member and
identity of the motorcycling and greater community. Cash a blue heeler/dingo cross was the first canine to fulfill this role and attended charity rides and adventures most dogs would never achieve. He was the first dog in the world to be inducted into The Motorcycling Hall of Fame in his own right. Cash sadly passed away and Tex had big shoes to full as by then he was relied upon for his charity endeavors and charity events were not the same without the “bloke with his dog”.

That’s where Bundy came into his life and she lead Tex on the path to meeting Jenny Patten his partner. Tex contacted Jenny as she was working in the Norwest of Sydney as a Dog Behaviour Specialist when Bundy was 6 months old for assistance in training Bundy for her very important role. From that first day Jenny became the fulltime trainer of Bundy and later her and Tex became partners and are now the team you see today.

They travel some 80,000 kms a year all over Australia attending Expo’s, Charity Events, even Jetski Treks and assist in raising $250,000 per year for multiple charities many of those children based.

Recently they have seen a need in their travel’s to use their high profile and public recognition to assist awareness groups in raising public interest & educating in vitally important life issues. The main two that they spread the word for across Australia is Organ & Tissue Donation & in the last few years Prostrate Awareness Endeavors. Both of these issues are incredibly important with far reaching impacts greater than just the Motorcycling Community.

All three, Tex, Bundy and Jenn love what they do, are very grateful for the support they get and plan on doing it for many years to come.

Bundy is part of the Advocate "Vote My Pet" competition to be the new face of Advocate and they need votes. Lots and Lots of votes.......

Please click on Vote My Pet to help Bundy to become the face and continue the work they do for charities.

Cheers
